Recycle for Essex are very excited to launch the Essex Community Reuse Fund through the crowdfunding movement Essex Crowd.

The movement is a new initiative where you can share your community ideas and offer neighbours, local businesses and other interested parties the opportunity to pledge their support to make your idea a reality.

The fund is about supporting local community projects which inspire people and communities to change their behaviour towards tired, broken or unwanted household items. We want to back local good ideas that promote reuse and recycling, ultimately preventing waste being thrown away in the home.

This fund is available to support local projects which:

- Inspire people and communities to be creative and sustainable with their waste

- Provide skills and opportunities to build an environmentally sustainable community

- Make use of recycled, reused or reclaimed materials from households

- Reduce the amount of reusable household waste being thrown away

£10,000 is available through the crowd funding platform of Essex Crowd, with up to £1000 match funding available for each project.

Join us for a free interactive workshop on 17 October 2017, 17:30 -19:00 in Basildon as part of the Art of the Possible Festival - Sign up to register your attendance.

Please share with any other community groups or organisations you feel would be interested in the fund.
